BROW TATTOO
A brow tattoo is more than just a cosmetic treatment; it's a solution for those looking to address issues like asymmetry, thinning brows, or the need for a subtle, natural lift. Our eyebrows frame our face, and when they’re balanced and full, they bring a youthful essence and help enhance the natural beauty of the eyes and face. For many, these changes can bring back a sense of confidence and ease, knowing their brows are complementing their features in a way that feels authentic to who they are.
This service is highly personalized to each individual, taking into consideration not just what you want to achieve, but also your unique facial structure and skin type. Whether your goal is to add fullness, correct imbalance, or achieve a more youthful look, the design is crafted with care and precision. It’s not about following trends, but about creating the perfect brow for you—one that feels timeless and true to your natural beauty.
When it comes to brow tattoos, the process requires the skill and expertise of a trained professional. This isn’t just about applying pigment; it’s about understanding skin, facial symmetry, and how to deliver results that not only look great initially but last beautifully over time. With my experience, you can feel confident that your treatment will be handled with care, safety, and the highest level of professionalism, ensuring that the results you receive are exactly what you envisioned.

For first-time brow tattoo clients with no prior tattooing, this service is designed to create brows that feel like a natural extension of you. During the initial session, we’ll work together to design a shape that complements your features while achieving the look you want. Cover Up / Correction Tattoo
When working on a pre-existing brow tattoo from another artist, I refer to this as cover-up or correction work. This service is designed to adjust the existing tattoo, improving the brow shape while considering both the previous work and your natural bone structure. With the application of new pigments and a refined design, the goal is to create a fresh, balanced look that suits your facial features. This service includes two complimentary touchup appointments, spaced 6-12 weeks apart, to ensure the results are perfected and long-lasting.
-
Annual / Biannual Color Refresher
The upkeep for this type of tattoo requires minimal maintenance. However, how long it lasts can vary depending on factors like skin type, health conditions, and both internal and external influences. To keep your brows looking their best, it's recommended to have them refreshed 18-30 months after your touchup session. This ensures that the shape and pigment stay fresh and aligned with your original look.
BROW INSIGHTS
Avoid alcohol and caffeine for at least 24 hours before the appointment
Why: Both alcohol and caffeine act as blood thinners, which can increase bleeding during the procedure. Excessive bleeding can affect how the pigment is absorbed into the skin, leading to patchy or uneven results.
No sun exposure or tanning for at least 2 weeks before your appointment
Why: Sunburned or tanned skin is more sensitive and prone to damage during the tattooing process. Pigment may not settle properly on sun-damaged skin, and the healing process may be more uncomfortable and uneven.
Stop using retinol, retinoids, or exfoliants for 1-2 weeks
Why: Retinol and exfoliating products thin the skin, making it more sensitive. Thinner skin can lead to increased bleeding and difficulty in holding the pigment, which can compromise the final result of the tattoo.
Avoid waxing, tweezing, threading, or tinting your brows for at least 2 weeks before the procedure
Why: Your artist needs to work with the natural shape and full hair growth of your brows to design a shape that complements your face. Waxing, tweezing, or tinting beforehand can distort the natural shape and reduce the canvas for tattooing.
No Botox or fillers for 2 weeks prior
Why: Botox or filler injections can alter the natural positioning and shape of your brows. To achieve the most accurate and flattering result, it's important that your facial muscles are in their natural state during the tattooing process.
Consult your doctor if you are on blood thinners or medications
Why: Certain medications, such as blood thinners, can increase bleeding during the procedure, and also raise your chances of bruising, which may affect how well the pigment settles into the skin. It's important to consult your doctor to seek medical clearance for peace of mind, prior to booking your appointment.
Stay hydrated and moisturize your skin leading up to the appointment
Why: Hydrated skin makes the tattooing process smoother and promotes better healing. When your skin is well-hydrated, it’s more elastic and resilient, allowing the pigment to settle more evenly. Dry or dehydrated skin, on the other hand, can be more prone to flaking and slow healing. Be sure to drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment and keep your skin moisturized, avoiding any products with harsh chemicals or exfoliants.
These guidelines ensure that your skin is in the best condition for the procedure, optimizing the final result and helping the healing process.
Pre-Care
Avoid touching, rubbing or picking at your brows
Why: After your brow tattoo, the skin will start to heal, forming small scabs. It's crucial not to touch, pick, or scratch the area as this can interfere with the healing process and may result in pigment loss, uneven healing or even scarring. Picking can also introduce bacteria, leading to infection.
Clean the brows three times a day for the first three days with cooled boiled water using cotton swabs or pads and allow them to dry. Do not apply aftercare cream during this time
Why: Gently cleaning the brows during the first three days helps prevent a buildup of lymph fluid, which can lead to thick scabbing and uneven healing. By allowing the skin to dry naturally without applying aftercare cream, the skin has a chance to close and heal properly without interruption. This process minimizes scabbing and encourages smoother healing. After the first three days, a thin layer of aftercare cream can be applied three times a day until the skin has fully shed and no longer looks patchy. This ensures that the brows heal with minimal scabbing and better pigment retention.
Avoid sweating and intense workouts for at least 7 days
Why: Sweat can cause the pigment to fade or become uneven while your brows are healing. This is due to sweat excretion pushing pigment out before it has a chance to settle, also raising risk of introducing bacteria to the area. Avoid intense exercise or activities that lead to excessive sweating, as this can interfere with the results and prolong the healing process.
Apply the recommended aftercare ointment as directed
Why: It is important to follow the application instructions carefully—a thin layer applied gently to keep the area hydrated and prevent scabs from drying out too much. Over-application of ointment can clog pores and create thick scab, while under-application can lead to dry, cracked skin.
Avoid makeup or skincare products on the brows
Why: During the healing process, avoid applying any makeup, skincare products, or exfoliants on the brow area. These products can irritate the sensitive skin and may lead to infection or affect how well the pigment settles into the skin.
Stay out of direct sunlight and avoid tanning
Why: Sun exposure can cause the healing skin to burn as its in a vulnerable healing phase, it can also cause pigment to fade or change color. Protect your brows from direct sunlight during the healing process by wearing a hat or sunglasses.
No facials, peels, or other skin treatments for at least 4 weeks
Why: Skin treatments like facials, chemical peels, or laser treatments can irritate the newly tattooed skin and cause the pigment to fade or heal unevenly. Wait at least 4 weeks after your tattoo before resuming these treatments. Please note that you will not be able to have any laser treatments on any tattooed areas unless tattoo removal is the primary aim for such laser tattoo services.
Avoid sleeping on your face
Why: Sleeping directly on your face can cause irritation and may interfere with the healing process. Try to sleep on your back to avoid putting pressure on your brows.
Expect mild swelling or redness
Why: It’s normal to experience some redness and swelling after the procedure due to pigment implantation via tattoo needle. These symptoms should subside within a few days. If you notice excessive redness, swelling, or discharge, consult your artist or a healthcare professional, as this could indicate an infection.
Be patient with the healing process
Why: Healing takes time, and it’s normal for your brows to go through stages where they appear darker or patchy. This is part of the normal healing process, and the final results will settle after 4-12 weeks, depending on skin type and condition. Avoid judging the outcome too soon, and attend your follow-up appointment to refine the results.
Following these aftercare instructions will help ensure that your brow tattoo heals properly and the pigment settles evenly for long-lasting, beautiful results.
